Making the Most With Decor Mirrors

Published by Clive Braude on 23rd Aug 2019

The beauty of mirrors - other than your reflection! - is that they are incredibly versatile and functional. A mirror can add depth and style to any room in the house without very much effort on your part.

There are a few places in your home where mirrors are non-negotiable: the entryway for a quick check before you head out the door, the bathroom, and of course a full length mirror for choosing your daily outfits.

But what about mirrors as design elements? We love the idea of adding mirrors to every room in your home! They are a great way to reflect sunlight - much needed during rainy, overcast Vancouver winters - and they tend to visually enlarge rooms that may need to feel a bit larger than they actually are. This is especially helpful for compact condos in downtown Vancouver.

In compact apartments, it is often the bedroom that ends up feeling like the smallest room in the house. And while it may actually be small, it is usually just a simple case of logistics. Your bedframe is taking up a lot of room in ways that a couch or dining room table just don’t. Finding ways to add light and space to your room without getting a smaller bed is easier than you think - mirrors!

We love suggesting the use of a dresser and mirror combination. For example, the Ella Dresser in white. The light colour and attractive mirror add a stylish element to your bedroom without taking away any floorspace.

We also love the Morgan dresser in brown. The darker wood, especially when paired with all the other pieces adds a level of sophistication to your bedroom.
