The Difference a Decorator Area Rug Makes

Interior design is all about texture. Mixing and matching of different textures to achieve a well established mix of soft and hard, rough and smooth, fluffy and sleek. Area rugs are fantastic at adding a much needed dash of texture to almost any room in your home. Here are a few of our favourite area rugs and the way you could possibly use them in your home!

Entry Way

Your entryway, or front hall area is a high traffic zone. Choosing an area rug with a welcoming, but bold graphic pattern will instantly add personality to your home as well as comfort. Meanwhile, the graphic will help mask stubborn mud or unsightly stains in a way that a plain colour rug would not be able to. We love both the Keelia and Geo floor rugs for their bold patterns and quality construction. These will be durable enough to stand the test of boots, and shoes, and thousands of steps.

Living Room

It’s easy to overlook the importance of a nice area rug. It can often be an afterthought, something you forget to incorporate. That is until you see the perfect area rug. We love helping our clients find the perfect area rug that ties a whole room together. At Pallucci Furniture, our sales associates are experts in suggesting the right area rug for your space. Feel free to bring us a picture of your space and we’ll help you out! A couple of our favourites for living room spaces are the Griffin Rug in beige or black.

The Bedroom.

Think comfort, leisure, cosiness! Choosing a rug for your bedroom is all about finding something that will feel good beneath your feet first thing in the morning, and last thing at night. We love to suggest the Caci Rug for a short pile choice, and the Shag-O-La for a more textured high pile selection. Whichever you choose, these rugs are easy to keep clean and look amazing with any decorating style. Happy rug shopping!
