We all have a tendency to go overboard during the Holiday Season, buying Christmas gifts for our loved ones, to make them happy. We also need to make sure that we have enough money to budget for our holiday décor. Especially when we are the type of people to add to our collection every year, or we have decided we simply want to have a new Christmas holiday look.

We have come up with a few tips and tricks to help you budget so you aren’t breaking the bank, at the same time, making sure you get the look you want this holiday season for your home.

First you can start by looking at how you can use your current furniture as your backdrop for your Christmas décor magic. When spending money, you can spend money on stuff that you can use all year round, like purchasing an electric fireplace, use less traditional Christmas lighting and purchase new lamps you can use all year round, switching out regular lights with colorful bulbs. Our colors that we choose for Christmas, are usually colors that resonate with us and make us feel good. Why not incorporate some of the color into your décor so you can feel good that whole year round.

Whatever your color is for Christmas say you choose blue and silver. Your base color of silver can be what you choose when purchasing any new furniture you need at Christmas, that will serve you far past the Christmas season. Blue can be any finishing touches like accents, throw rugs, pillows and throw blankets.

Then choose your new dining room table with a silver finish, and the same with your coffee and end tables. If you were already set to buy new furniture, then you are able to create that Christmasy look without spending too much extra money on décor simply by buying furniture that suits the tone of your Christmas décor

Keep it simple, keep it elegant. Buy adding a few new pieces of furniture to your home that you get to use all year round, you are able to spend less money on Christmas décor and keep more money in your pocketbook.

Happy Holidays!
