Ready for a 2021 Makeover

Published by Clive Braude on 25th Jan 2021

Most of us are done with 2020 and all of the chaos that went along with it. Many people are thinking about wanting to do a whole new makeover on themselves, and even a whole new makeover on their home. That could be right down to the furnishings. Starting anew can be a sign of good things to come. Getting rid of clutter, and old furniture, old memories, and some may even say bad energies can give you a chance to create new positive memories, bring in positive energies and create a positive flow in your home. We have some helpful tips on where you can start to create a space that you will love for years to come.

Spring is right around the corner, so the first step is to get ready to do that spring clean. When we do a spring clean, we want to either get rid of, or move things to storage that we don’t want or need out in our living areas anymore. When we do this, it allows us to gain perspective on the stuff that is staying. When you look at what is left with an outside eye that allows you to see your home the way others would. Removing your attachment to certain pieces of furniture, and also what could easily go without even blinking an eye. Once you have done that in each room in your house you can then put together a list of wants for your home.

If you have kids hold a family meeting and find out what they would like to do to change up their bedrooms. Maybe it is time to trade in that single bed of theirs for a queen size bed with drawers for the to put their extras. Maybe they would like to add a desk in their room to work on. Then onto the master bedroom. Whether you have a small space or big space you and your significant other need to feel that one area of your home is your sanctuary. A place the children don’t come and play in, and a place where only you two can go to escape. Maybe you could put a lounging chair in the corner, or maybe it is time to move around your bed and find room for a tv and tv stand, so once the kids go to bed you can turn all the lights off in the house, lock the doors and go cuddle up in bed, and watch tv together. Peaceful bliss. Now that’s what we are talking about.

With your living and dining area, sky is the limit. What is the new look? We all know things will open up again this year at some point, so maybe it is time to get a couch that converts to make it easy for guests to sleep over. Your dining area is really up to what you feel you need for your family if you sit and eat dinner together every night, or if you are a little more easy going about your dinners, maybe a smaller table is in order.
