There are so many different parts of Christmas that we love. We love sitting around and visiting with our friends and family. We love waking up on Christmas morning and watching the gleeful looks on the children’s faces as they open up all their gifts. One of the other best parts of Christmas is Christmas Dinner. With it having been 2 years since we were all able to gather in one house we want to make sure that everyone feels included when sitting down to Christmas dinner. What are the things we need to do to prepare for the big feast?
There are two things in particular you need to make sure of. You need to make sure that there is enough seating room for all your guests. There is nothing worse than preparing your big Christmas dinner and realizing that there isn’t enough room to seat everyone around the table. By counting out your guests ahead of time, you can make sure that you have enough seating room for everyone.
A larger dining room table that can seat up to 6 people is really important when you are sitting down to Christmas dinner. Making sure there is ample leg room and elbow room is important to make sure everyone has enough space to sit and eat comfortably.
What about the kids table? When you have many guests at Christmas sometimes, we opt to have a kids table to make seating easier. This can be easily remedied by getting a nice little corner table for the kitchen that has enough seating for 4 so you can sit the kids at their own table creating enough room for everyone.
The other thing you need to make sure of is that your table is long enough for you to fit all the necessary chairs and for your table to be able to house plates, silverware, your turkey and all the fixings for turkey dinner. Making the pass around the table really easy. Opting for a longer table with a leaf will help to make Christmas dinner a breeze. Sorry we can’t help with the dishes though.
